Prez @ the movies: Watchmen

Yesterday, i got to see the whole thing.
Now i can go and review the shit out of it, with no holding back. But i want to hold back, because i want you to go and see this movie. Actually, go at least twice. You'll need to, just to take it all in.

So instead of a big review, i'll just give you a list of reasons to go (and a small list of why not to).

1: The story.
It's deep, grim, layered, unlike any other comic book story... but you knew that already if you read it. If not (like me), you'll be surprised by how good the storyline is.
2: The look.
This movie's just gorgious. Period.
3: Hard R rating.
Man this is far from a kids movie, we get to see bones snapping, meat cleavers to the face, sex with gorgeous women, blue dicks... the works.
4: Rorschach.
What an awesome character. Perfect casting, the immediate crowd favorite. Easily has the best scenes in the movie.

Reasons not to go:

1: You're soft.
If you can't take hardcore violence, sex and a dark and pessimistic look at the world and humanity, this is NOT the movie for you.
2: You have a.d.d.
If you have the attention span of a 5 year old, don't go, please. If you think a movie over 2 hours is too long and people talking is only filler to get from one action scene to the next, this is not for you. The movie first and foremost is about character development and (back)story.
3: If you hate a movie for having 1 minor flaw.
If you can't get over the fact that the Richard Nixon make-up looks like one of the Point Break masks and that spoils the whole experience for you, stay at home.

Go and see this, not only is the movie amazing, but it's also a miracle it got made the way it did. Fox needs to watch this movie over and over, hopefully they finally get it and stop making shitty comic book adaptations.
Oh yeah, Wolverine coming this april... Sigh...
